mpgxsvcd: Serious Question. How many of you shoot Medium Format or would switch to Medium Format if the right camera body was produced?

photo nuts: I am nonplussed by this statement in the preview:

"the location of the power switch behind the mode dial is far less convenient than placing it around the shutter button (as Nikon, Pentax and Sony all do). None of these are deal-breakers, but they make the 6D a bit less pleasant to use than it could be."

Really?

Anyway, based on the sentiments expressed in the preview, we can expect ~ 79 to 80% on final score. No gold or silver award whatsoever.

today in photography, ppl not just arguing about camera, but also arguing about the on off switch of the camera.. hehehe

VivaLasVegas: Holy smokes......6D just smoked Nikon D4 in low light AF, -3EV vs -2EV. Oh and one more thing, 6D can be customized with tracking, acceleration and deceleration tracking AF sensitivities......D4, D800, and D600 can't!

Just wondering, mars is full of snad dust particels etc, how does this camera manage to get it's lens clean from dust and etc.

imagine a 4x4 travelling in desert, the whole car would be covered all in dust...

In full frame arena there is still a little products variation.
D800 and 5DMk III is too much for me.

For me, best buy full frame DSLR is canon 5D MK II. around1700$ that's a bargain. compared to D700 still 2200$ and the price never drop.

I even considering buy a mint 5d MKI it's just 800$ (if it still there) for street hunt compared to a epic overkill 9000$ leica.

many good photographer even used worst camera to take fenomenal photos.

Seriously, you lot are the definition of what ken Rockwell calls measurebators

http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/7.htm

People here are talking about how they are going to dump all their gear because there are phone cameras with higher resolution? It's pathetic. Even if you have half the gear you claim you have, you are the same people who run a mile when anyone asks to see your portfolio.

How about all you armchair experts get off your fat ass*s and actually take some photos rather than bitching about numbers? Yes I know all about the importance of equipment when it comes to commercial photography blah blah but you would get a hell of a lot more work if you put half the energy that you spend on bitching about canon/Nikon into learning how to take a more creative shot. That's why there are kids with 3Mp camera phones who can smoke you.

many people here, consider themselves as the brand ambassador of their favorite camera. And they are well payed i think.

it's not about fan boy bro, 36 mpix is for pro bro, you'll sell more money with high res. and ability to get more details. if you shoot for FB you are right, stick with canon or buy a pocket. if you shoot for istock photo get a nikon D800.

I am getting one soon, give me .......QUICK ....

And canon user stuck with the unfriendly UI forever.
