Necessity is the mother of all inventions.
ybizzle: Picked up a Fuji XF-1 for $250 in brown. Looks great and as an added bonus, you can have fun with people when you ask them to try and figure out how to power it on! Quite the attention getter at a party!
Sounds like you attend wild parties...
What?! No Casio? How can it be?!
Hopefully we'll see the review soon. Right?
marike6: Another DPR compact camera announcement generating a fair amount of interest and lots of comments like the Olympus XZ-10 and Nikon P330 that we will probably never hear about again.
The orange background of the main page photo for the GX7 review is truly unflattering and an awful choice. Usually the new cameras are presented in a much nicer way. What happened?
ecube: Not that I like everything about this camera. That said, I feel safer having this camera around my neck because the "classic look" gives the impression of a cheap old-style film camera not worth stealing.
One slight problem, which of my current DSLR shall I give up for this Df body? The D800, D600, D5100?
Say hello to your chiropractor.
Optimal Prime: Bloated ugly monster...
The proportions are off. Too many needlessly big dials. It might be 'retro' but it's not pleasing to the eye. Has proportions similar to the mini Minox copy of the Leica, in other words, unbalanced. Too clunky of a design for me.
Bloated ugly monster...
So... This set is the 'crème de la crème' of Samyang guys?
Hell knows no fury as an adobe customer scorned.
Karma is truly a nasty bitch.
Er... Thar's it?
Poetic justice. Once again.
Phil of Cilcain: The only 'real' premium superzoom camera was the Panasonic DMC-FZ200? Did someone forget the Fuji X-S1? With its manual zoom its a classic.
Why would DPR remind readers of the fact they never bothered to review the X-S1? Best forgotten, of course.
Digitall: Nice looking camera, very nice specs. but the tiny sensor vs. body size do not make my day. Sure that Olympus could put a sensor M4:3 here with this fixed lens camera. maybe one day...
Or reacquaint yourself with the laws of physics.
The page is quite buggy at the moment. Loads correctly less than 50% of the time.
atamola: DP reviewer: "Ok guys, Just finished. Quick, we need something negative to say about the camera? Anyone?
Guy 1: "well, maybe we can say that the Interface and controls can be overwhelming"
Guy 2: "All interfaces and controls at this level are. We should add **initially**"
DP reviewwer: "Great. We need more"
Guy 1: "we can say... (pause)..."
Guy 2: "... that the In-camera Raw conversion interface is somewhat unintuitive!!!"
DP reviewer: "You are a god-send!!! What else!? What else!?"
Guy 1: "We can say that Auto focus with Four Thirds lenses is slow"
Guy 2: "but it is not"
DP reviewer: "Let's add **in dim conditions with tricky subjects**"
Guy 1: "What are tricky subjects??"
DP reviewer: "Stay focused, damn it! We need to say negative things!! got it?? Got it??"
Guy 2: "If that's the case why not that the "Multi-screen live view interface looks very dated"
DP reviewer: perfect, we are almost done.
That's strange... When I listened to the tapes I could only hear moans and groans.
Where is the grip on the rx100 from?
