Perhaps if Baiey tried the Pureview 808, he may like it more than the 1020. But 808 doesn't has OIS and it is thicker than the 1020. Everything has a trade off. My dream camera is a full frame...

Android is nice but I would never use it for work. It is the malware king like XP in the desktop world. It is easy to suggest Nokia made the wrong decision to switch to Windows Phone but who...

Hmm... how can you compare Robert Downey to David Bailey in photography field? If you think they are equal, I don't have anything more to say. I don't see anything wrong to ask real...

@By HowaboutRAW, sorry, I was referringto the new Galaxy phone with integrated zoom lens, forget the exact model name but it is not the Galaxy NX.

@ Skeptical Steve, I guess you missed the Nokia phones with changable color faceplates from the 20th century. Then we saw the colorful fat iMac and the emachine iMac wannabe.

I use Consumer Report to help me on car purchase, or see which toaster produces better toasts. But I never rely on it for camera. I still remember how they made conclusion based on >1 year old...

yes, looks like Steve took all the innovation with him. Lumia color scheme, Androidish menu. Funny Google copied iphone interface initially, now it is a victim of counterfeit. If Steve Jobs...

applaud for the dedicated shutter button. Hopefully the phone will have similar IQ as WX300, HX50. But users should not expect better IQ than Lumia 1020, maybe better than Galaxy NX though. ...

my thinking exactly. We just need the lens, not the whole bloody screen-less camera. Bright idea, wrong implemtation. Nokia 1020 or Samsung Galaxy NX are the kings for now. Not to mention...

Hopefully Sony will extend the conept to "lens only". For now, the cheap ebay lens maybe a more workable and cheaper solution than the Q.

I was excited when I heard the rumor but now very disappointed :( This is not what a photographer wants. It may sell due to the "Cool" status. But it is worst than carry a RX100 and a phone. ...

I am not a fan of megapixel race but 18Mp for 1/2.3" is a popular setup. I see very good results from HX200, ZS27, WX300, HX50.

This is what I am looking for and I actually mentioned about this in my Lumia 1020 post last week. But sadly, the dimension is 2.46 x 2.46 x 2.19″ (this is not much different than carry a thinner...

CA is not a deal breaker. The awarding winning Fuji F30 which I still own has serious CA issue. Easy fix by pp. Quick question, can I stop down a Lumia 1020?

@Tan68, it could benefit from smaller aperture, perhaps the aperture of 1020 is fixed. But comparing to the one I took with D90. The 1020 only use 1/20 (5%) of the exposure time and the result...

Most users will use the 5Mp mode. I am not sure the benefit of pixel binning but the result is pretty good. Read the EXIF yourself, and check out DPR review comparing the 1020 to its competitors.

I was at GCNP south rim a few years ago, it is hard to get a clear picture as there are always haze and smoke. Making things worst is I forgot to take my circular polarizer. FWIW, here is a...
