It looks like the tunnel goes on forever and the lighting really shows off the texture of the tunnel. Well Done!

This is......simply put, SPLENDID! One of the nicest photos I've had the pleasure to gaze upon. So perfectly executed.

Incredible shot. This is one of those unquestionable shots that's deservingly, hands down, to be the winner.

Personally, I think this should have placed first. The best word I can come up with for this shot is "magical". "Serene" also comes to mind. Amazing shot. Made my day to gaze upon it.

This is a fantastic shot any way you slice it. Doesn't matter the camera, but rather the photographer.....you proved it! Bravo!

This is a great example of serenity. What a peaceful place, slowed down and caught in time.

The wide angle, the open space, the color and then you have this powerful storm. It's like you're there standing in that field....... feeling humble and a sense of awe.

I agree this shot should have been number one. As far as the complaints regarding the color, I think this is just a perfect example of a great landscape and the Velvia look. This is what a lot of landscape photographers look for, high contrast and color saturation. That's why Velvia was so popular with landscape shooters. BRAVO on a stunning shot. I'm utterly flabbergasted at the amount sheer beauty.

On Patience in the Composition: The Rule of Thirds challenge (4 comments in total)

So cool, so good......this shot just sends shivers down my spine. It's one of those shots that you find yourself coming back to. That little horizon swath of orange/pink/red mixed in with the overall various dominant hues of cool blue really sets off this photo.

Very dramatic, yet the green.....so soothing.
