As others have already pointed out, the Panasonic beats the Olympus in a number of ways, including size, weight, and in-lens stabilization. I'll add to these availability of in-camera lens...

LED stage lights are an abomination that should be wiped from the face of the earth. The colors are so hypersaturated that they drive a digital camera's sensor into clipping in each of the R, G & B...

Glad to hear it's working for you. Thanks for following through here by posting an update.

Great suggestions all around. I own and like a pair of Nanos, a Cheetah C8, and a Cheetah Boom. The Nanos are so small and light I take 'em along on event jobs with a pair of Westcott 43"...

Generally I prefer black as well, but I'm thinking the silver GX7 would look great with silver Olympus primes like the 12mm, 17mm, 45mm and 75mm. Just thinking about it makes me nostalgic for my...

I'm surprised nobody's thought to ask about the display. At this point, for all we know he might have his mini hooked up to a $48 16" 6-bit TN bargain basement generic brand disposable display...

There is no Colorsync profile for your Canon camera. Cameras do not have Colorsync profiles. None of the many digital cameras I've bought have ever come with a Colorsync profile, and none of the...

Thanks for the confirmation. That is good info to have. Looks like I won't be trading in my 1D3 & 1Ds3 for a 1D4.

FYI, it looks like this is a feature that first appeared on the G5. On the GX1, touch AF works fine with the LCD active, but it stops when I switch to the EVF. I've gone through the GX1 manual and...

Just one example of why it's important for photographers to support respect for copyrights. http://blogs.nppa.org/advocacy/2012/07/13/a-strong-example-of-why-copyright-matters/

Customer orders your print and pays you. So, after that you should not get anything. Even if customer makes thousands of copies and sells them. That might be OK with you, but it's not with me.

Perhaps you've set your Oly to single-point AF mode. My Panny G3 and GX1 both show multiple AF points (at same distances) when set to multi-point AF.
-
Do you know if the GX1 can do this? I have a GX1 and haven't come across this, but maybe I'm missing something.

New iMac users, the OP just got a defective unit. There is no compatibility "issue".

For future reference, on import or when shooting tethered, you can have Aperture save a second copy of the files to another location. Probably wise to tether to the laptop's internal drive and...

Snapsort is utterly useless.
Your wides are less wide, but your teles have more reach. DoF is slightly less. Are these advantages or disadvantages?
Why did you sell the 5D2?
What are your ISO,...

I'm surprised to hear that. What was so bad about it? I've got a 1D3 & 1Ds3, and they're leagues better than the 1D2 & 1Ds2 I had before in terms of low-light AF. Is the 1D4 really a step backward?

Actually, there is one new exception, Panasonic's DMC-LF1.

It's pocketable, has a 12MP implementation of the excellent sensor...
