I use Aperture and have downloaded some of the raw samples from the x100s spread around the web. Aperture does a great job with the ref files. Even though they take quite long to load even on my...

Thank you for all your great replies. Made me think. You have some good arguments regarding digital images and have helped me remember many of the hassles with film cameras that I seem to have...

Hi Ken, you are probably right. I do remember spending hours in the darkroom with my 6 rolls of film coming out with just one actually usable (exaggerated off course), however my T5 really turned...

Thats exactly my point. Digital may be technically and specification wise further than the old film negatives, but that doesn't change my subjective opionen when looking at prints from negatives....

Digital is dominant mainly because of the convenience. --My kit as of now: Nikon D90, SB-600, 20-35mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8, 35mm f/2.0, 85mm f/1.8, - all Nikkors. Aperture 3 from Apple.

Why is it not for me? Please explain. --My kit as of now: Nikon D90, SB-600, 20-35mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8, 35mm f/2.0, 85mm f/1.8, - all Nikkors. Aperture 3 from Apple.

Stop using your Jedi mind tricks on me :-)

Actually I use an Apple Cinema Display 20" with my Air. Images look wonderful, but I don't know how accurate the display is in displaying colors.

I agree, but I'm only talking about IQ, not convenience.

I agree that the processing is up to the user now which requires you to have a stellar display to edit your images on, or else you do your PP in the blind. Even though I love my MacBook Air 13",...

Could you recommend a decent lab in Europe? Using Kodak via Apples Aperture just isn't good enough quality imho. --My kit as of now: Nikon D90, SB-600, 20-35mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8, 35mm f/2.0, 85mm...

My opinion is subjective based on the look of 90% of my old paper images compared to what I get from my D90. Which by the way is quite good. I can not compare the two since I don't own my old 35mm...

None of them are scanned digitally. Which would also require quite the expensive scanner to make a fair comparison. I compare with paper in several different sizes. The old pictures made from film...

I am really close to buying an x100s, however no matter how skilled a photographer behind the many samples from the camera on the web, none of the pictures I have seen so far comes even close to...

Are you being ironic?Why not satisfied?--My kit as of now: Nikon D90, SB-600, 20-35mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8, 35mm f/2.0, 85mm f/1.8, - all Nikkors. Aperture 3 from Apple.

That a camera isn't perfect can hardly be called a bug. No camera is perfect. I would say that Fuji tries really hard to make the perfect camera, so complaining about what it can and can't do seems...

I like them. Even though you still managed to shake some of them :-)
