We have a new crop of baby hummingbirds in the backyard carrotwood trees again this spring. I think there are two chicks as I've seen two little beaks poking up when Mama is away. I'm not sure if...

Nice shot! What kind of snake is that?

Screen is fixed rather than articulating -- bummer!

I think she did quite well. Good composition, well focused, colorful subjects -- much better than a lot of the snapshots I see taken by adults, some with very expensive equipment. She must be...

Doubt the larger camera is the SX60 -- looks like it has a fixed screen, and I doubt that Canon would abandon the articulated screen that's a key feature of the SX40 & SX50.

Thanks for the recognition! A tough choice, indeed -- all of these are excellent photos.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the thing costs half as much as the whole f'n' camera!

Instead, download you photos after every shoot, then...

I'll bet you dollars to donuts that you couldn't tell the difference between two identical shots of the same landscape, one taken with your G15 at f8 and another at f4 or even f1.8, same ISO and...

Thanks for the kind words, Zuch. Dogs have well-defined personalities, which a good photo should capture.

These two photos are nothing spectacular, no real action here, but the dogs are (or were) very special to me and my family.
This is Chelsea, a rescue who was one of the smartest, sweetest dogs...

My SX40 and I ran into his brother in Morro Bay:

USB ports and connections can be problematic. Reboot, then try plugging the camera into a different USB port.
