From Roger Cicala at Lensrentals.com:
"It has become apparent through many tests and online forums that the Sigma 50 is a "special lens". I was glad to find this out because it was driving me nuts....

Beautiful shots.
Question: I see tons of red speckles in the dark areas, especially in the first few shots when viewed at 1:1. Is that typical of the sensor in the A99?
-
Wonderful shots - love that series. The middle one blows me away - love the composition and colors. Well done.

I can't find any specs mentioning whether filters are usable with the Sigma DPxM compacts, but I see them mentioned occasionally in posts.
Can the compacts use filters? If so, what size are they?

Hi,
Considering diving into the DPxM system. I'll post other questions about the compacts in another thread, but wanted to ask specifically about lenses for the SD1M.
That sensor obviously needs...

Wow, these...ummm...suck. Lifeless colors, no accutance, flat, digital appearance. I was seriously considering ordering one, but not now. Yes, the high ISO shots were nice, but that's not enough...

I"m excited about this lens. I just hope it arrives before I go to Africa in November.

It apparently was a server propagation problem. It's showing the new page now.

If I only was allowed one lens, and my budget was a consideration, I'd go with the 50mm 1.8 II. It's a true gem, super lightweight and very nice quality. I use mine constantly.

I tried the XPro1 and ended up selling it. It was great to have a nice, light kit but the image quality was less than I had hoped for. The AF in low light was truly horrible, despite having all...

I'm liking what I'm reading about the A99, but have a question about the viewfinder AF point color. Most cameras I've used have the AF point light red when selected, but I thought I read somewhere...
