Beautiful shots.  Question: I see tons of red speckles in the dark areas, especially in the first few shots when viewed at 1:1.  Is that typical of the sensor in the A99?

I can't find any specs mentioning whether filters are usable with the Sigma DPxM compacts, but I see them mentioned occasionally in posts. Can the compacts use filters?  If so, what size are they?

Wow, these...ummm...suck. Lifeless colors, no accutance, flat, digital appearance. I was seriously considering ordering one, but not now. Yes, the high ISO shots were nice, but that's not enough...

If I only was allowed one lens, and my budget was a consideration, I'd go with the 50mm 1.8 II.  It's a true gem, super lightweight and very nice quality.  I use mine constantly.

Only two months?  There are many cameras here that were previewed and it's been YEARS with no review. (the Leica M9 comes to mind).

I'm liking what I'm reading about the A99, but have a question about the viewfinder AF point color. Most cameras I've used have the AF point light red when selected, but I thought I read somewhere...
