On Connecting in the The power of 'SLT' challenge (3 comments in total)

Something just isn't making sense here. The EXIF says 230mm and maximum aperture f6.3. The rules say "NO PP, just out of camera." Please explain.

To host: why was this photo allowed to remain in the challenge?

Ed at Ridersite: So, is this a jpg only challenge? If not, how do you define "NO PP: when shooting RAW?

Well, that's what I always do. Are you saying that I should use the default setting in my RAW processor? I have no jpg. I shoot RAW only. Sounds like I better pass on this one - right?

JOrtiz: On the colourful Butterflies on flowers the winner was a colorful flower and a colorless butterfly. That's so funny!!!!

Full Exif data - No watermarks, no date/time nor any other identification allowed.

There is a conflict here. Date/time is in the EXIF ;-)

Every photo in the challenge is breaking a rule. You ask for full EXIF, but then state:

"No watermarks, no date/time nor any other identification allowed."

This was my favorite by a long shot. Excellent B&W treatment and perfect light. Should have finished in the top five IMO.

Pretty amazing - you finished 6th and .... I finished 5th! I've seen similar photos before, but this pretty much takes the cake.

Nice shootin!

"Disqualifications will be done after the closing of submissions."

Too controlling for me. Sounds like you think you're perfect.

Looks like CF has decided to DQ everything before the challenge starts - saving us all a lot of agony.

I liked this shot. Nice colors. Maybe a little too centered, but sharp and a pleasing scene. IMO, should have finished higher - much higher.

A nice job with the kit lens.

Very intriguing shot. However, technically it's below average - very poor focus. Congrats on the win.

Congrats on the win. I had a sneaking suspicion that shot would do well. In fact, I think any of that series might have won. Maybe the in flight did it.

dibilio57: How aften do the entries get shuffled? It seems to me that they stay in the same spot with little suffling. This introduces a bias for the entries on top.

They are shuffled differently for each voter ID. However, if you vote and return, they will be in the same order so you can pick up where you left off. The bottom line - your shuffle is different than everyone else.

That's a beauty! Nicely processed. Congrats.

I considered entering this, but didn't:
