Can't be all that bad if TIPA have awarded it best entry level lens in 2012

I agree with Ronald - just bought this lens and although not L quality which btw I have 3 of - it's a good travel/all round lens and the IQ isn't THAT bad - certainly reduces my weight when travelling on holiday - consider 5D2 with 24-105 & 60D with 70-200 (I just hate changing lenses!) against 40D & Sigma 18-200, it's just a no brainer, yes I use the other two combos for professional work but for hols..........!
