So far, my flower shots have been less than satisfactory. I've tried zooms, primes and macro lenses but without much success. Part of this is because of the bad composition but also caused by DOF...

Never really thought about this before. I always take RAW when I feel the condition is going to be challenging for the camera. I understand that RAW can store more info than JPEG files so I...

I used to think the thumb wheel on the GX1 was ok... until I got the E-M5... :)

Not quite. I have the older version (I think its the '20' instead of '22') so I assume its similar.I use this bag to carry E-M5. I've re-adjusted all dividers so that the slots are all visible from...

I have both as well. E-M5 produces at least 1-stop better IQ at higher ISOs. DR is also quite a bit better but I can't quantify it. E-M5's IBIS is amazing! Try 1/3s shots hand-held using wide-angle...

Here's another Oly 60mm f/2.8 review, translated:
http://m43blog.com/2012/09/28/a-new-review-on-olympus-m-zuiko-digital-ed-60mm-f2-8-macro-lens/
I'm actually (positively) surprised at its size and...

My thoughts are the same too... I upgraded from E-PL3 to E-M5. With E-M5 sensor in E-PL5, more appropriate screen aspect, and some grip, I will buy it again. It is a perfect 2nd body/teaching kids,...

From what I can tell, Sony doesn't appear to be afraid of selling their latest sensors to other manufacturers - one of the reason why I'm so happy that Olympus went Sony sensor way.

Another vote on the GX1. It also works as a good alternative body when I need the pure compactness. The only issue is that it doesn't have IBIS which I do seem to use at times and most of my lenses...

Here's another translation of the review that is untranslatable (is that a word? :) )

Not cheap but I'm going for:Oly 9-18Oly 12-50Oly 75-300In some trips, I have been carrying:Oly 9-18Oly 14-150(+ a low-light prime)The above setup is very versatile, requiring very few lens changes.

I've intentionally not read any threads that talk about E-M5's IBIS "problems". I wanted to see if I encounter them after using it in real life situations for a significant period of time, instead...

To OP - Anders W and MAubrey are correct. We get this exact topic discussed once every few weeks and typically reaches 150 posts. Why? I have no idea...m43 system is great for many reasons. I would...

I know what you mean - I had E-PL3 which uses the first generation m43 sensor and I really didn't want to go up to ISO1600 unless I had no choice. I also had LX3 in the past, and beyond ISO400, it...

I've used Oly 9-18, Oly 14-150 and one of Pan20/Pan25/Oly45 as my light travel kit for a while and it worked out quite well.

This is a great hiking lens! Now that I've used it during couple of long hiking trips, I can confirm this! I no longer worry about a bit of wetness, quick access to 12mm is very useful, 50mm is a...

I have this bag. This used to be my favorite bag when I had E-PL3 but not sure anymore now that I have the E-M5.I usually carry the following everywhere:E-M5Panny 100-300mm (to be changed to Oly...

I for one, use Oly 9-18 more often than any other lenses I own. I do much of my shots during hiking and it appears that most of the shots taken with this lens is at 9mm. I also had Panny 7-14mm for...

I moved up from E-PL3 to E-M5. There is no contest when it comes to the high ISO performance between these two. E-PL3's ISO1600 was almost acceptable but required heavy pp. I like E-M5's ISO6400...
