Opinion: The S1 is a good camera. I hope that Fuji takes the time to refine their SuperCCD concept a bit more since it certainly seems to have potential. The dynamic range of the chip itself and the noise levels are excellent, including long exposure shots. Fuji would be well advised to put their next generation SuperCCD in a better camera body and offer the ability to capture raw images to make use of the great dynamic range of the CCD.
Problems: Most of the S1 cameras that I have seen exhibited a green cast toward the upper left of the frame that is most noticable when taking shots against a white or gray wall or a uniform background. Be aware of this and watch out for it if you plan to get the camera.
