And also there are made manual WB shift to the cyan (B0 R-3) in camera WB settings. That's why camera jpegs so cold.
sandy b: Love everything about this camera except the over processed raw files. It is lacking detail compared to the other cameras shown. I want to process my own raw files. Can that be disabled? If not, I find it a non starter.
Don't use Adobe or similar convertors. They are bugged with X-Trans.
rusticus: I bought the awesome black brick K-01 for $ 340.
Think this is a better investment:
large lens selection -
very good workmanship -
awesome sensor of the K-5 built - best IQ -
German Design Award in Gold 2012 - awesome design, edgy, clear style ;)
etc., etc.
And without EVF. :) Thats why I didn't buy K-01, though I used pentax camera (*ist, K-20D, K-5) for years.
GrahamJohn: ISO 25600 looks a bit grainy. Too bad.
But 6400 is perfect. :)
vesa1tahti: What about focus peaking? Distance indicator? Possible to focus into infinity in very low light (astrophotography)? Thanks a lot for information.
There is distance inndicator in camera (software, not on the objective). And you can set focus to infinity in manual mode.
Don't trust "Studio scene comparison" in this review. They set noise reduction from "std" to "hi" in camera settings, thus resolution of jpeg is lower then must be. This is true for 200 and 6400 ISO (checked raw), didn't check others. As for the raw convetion they used Adobe converter that is well known bugged with "watercolour" effect for X-Trans. All studio scene tests here don't show anything objectively about this camera.
