I have not used a tilt-shift lens but i do think this place can be a good spot to find a good composition with that kind of lens...

Birds DO fly to neighbouring countries! or even continents!

Actually mate, there are birds unique to a country... like the Philippine Eagle. It is only found in the south of the Philippines. it is also the one of the rarest and one of the biggest eagles in the world. There are no known sub species of this eagle so... it is only found in the south of the Philippines. Cheers!
