On Ricoh surfs into action camera market with WG-M1 article (108 comments in total)

@adamgreen: there is a 120fps mode on WG-M1 and remote viewfinder on the phone app. Besides this camera is truly compatible with children, because it's unbreakable.

The killer feature of this cam is the WiFi App, with it you gain full control and Live-View on your smartphone! Besides that the UI is intuitive and the few buttons are phisicaly protected by "roll bars" yet they are easy to use in action. The overall design is well done, I like the fact that there is no extra case needed for underwater use. For those who don't want 4K video this might be a very good action camera.

The absence of black nylon is refreshing to see, it seems like the main goal with the design was not-to-look-like-a-camera-bag. That plan has definitely succeeded, but I question the functionality. The market will say if this is top or flop.

Is there a way to CC- license your own photos that are uploaded to FB? I just don't like the idea that they get property of FB.

Wow, fancy new outfit. Is there finally a way to manually choose your own square crops from the non-square photos?

Ha, it looks almost like my 3 years old Penty K-20D. Good design! :)

Not a single detil about the camera. Just show us the camera and we know if this is going to be a flop or not. I think they went the wrong way in making a camera, instead they should concentrate on sensor tech make some patents and later license it to other camera makers. Much trara about nothing (yet).
