  • Commented on Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 Review preview

You own neither, I purchased both and returned the A7S. The lack of detail as well as atrotious moire is intolerable. There is no internal 4K. You have to purchase Sony app to due time lapse. No...

  • Commented on Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 Review preview

The A7S has nothing whatsoever to do with the GH4. I have owned both. Forget cropping 12 MP sensor. Forget stills with large prints. And frankly who cares about blue sky in night photography. ...

I agree. I use the D800, especially when I anticipate cropping. The D800 is a heavy beast and I hate hauling it to remote landscape shoots with heavy lens. If I don't need large prints, IMO. I...

I find it very interesting that DSLR's get dinged if they don't do video well, yet when they do they dinged as more of a video than a still camera. A full frame sensor like the A7S has no basis of...

  • Too bad dpreview couldn't mount a GH4 or a Sony A7S to this so they could finish the review on the A7S and GH4 they started several months ago. The photos would certainly be better than this toy.

  • Since this so called review is not complete, hopefully part three will include the features of the GH4 version 2 upgrade. Since own the GH4 and know the difference, as well as owned a A7S and...

  • 4K TV's upscale HD. While you're waiting for 4K programming, you can dislay gorgeous 4K videos taken with LX100 or GH4.

  • Commented on Fujifilm X100T Overview preview

What does DXOmark have to do with a great camera or getting great photos? Nothing. I own D800, GH4, A7S, and X100S. The best photographs come out of my X100S. The X100S has best low light...

  • That's obvious. The Nikon df is full frame 16 MP no AA, the Sony RXR1 is 24 MP and no AA. I made a simple statement that the d750 would be better without an AA filter and your opinion is it's not...

  • You're missing the point. I want to do my own processing in post without the camera degrading the IQ. Not all photographers shoot weddings or think photos of rocks is art, or spend their careers...

  • You are entitled to your opinion. The D800e and the D7100 are not without moire problems. The consumer makes the choice whether they want to sacrifice image quality to reduce moire in the...

  • The D7100 is cheaper, has no AA filter and frankly I thinks has better IQ than my D800. Price has nothing to do with it. It cost more to put the AA in than leave it out of the design.

  • Maybe Nikon will get rid of the AA filter, charge $300 more, and call it D750E. I dislike the AA in my D800. I preordered the D750 and cancelled the order when I discovered it has AA filter.

  • Glad you enjoyed my comment. I ordered three of these to use with my X100s which, with it's leaf shutter can sync up to 1/4000th. I need a device like this to protect my camera from high voltage...

  • Only if the drain is completely open.

  • Is your monitor calibrated?   My GH4 with flash looks neutral on calibrated monitor, cool on uncalibrated LCD.
  • I observed some significant moire in the a7s at lower ISO which was obscured by noise at higher ISO. Because of this, I would not consider the a7s, especially for video.

  • This product is half baked. They need to develop metro app so it can be used on windows 8.x PC or RT and then download it from the Store. Until then this has limited photo quality uploads for...
