Glad for this on two levels - 1 - Sigma support for Pentax is a good sign and hopefully indicates a coming Pentax full frame 2 - This lens was probably responsible for Sigma clearing out the...

Very disappointing to see Pentax left off. With Sony trending away from Alpha and Olympus having given up on DSLR, Pentax is the only alternative to Canikon.

I own two plus the charger and have had no problems at all. I actually use the charger more than the Pentax original.
Recommended.

I will admit to being pleasantly surprised. I had assumed that DPR was skipping the K-5II given the time since release. More encouraging to hear that the 43 Limited was used in the real world shots.

I have owned both Dfine and Vivesa for a long time and both are excellent tools. I find Dfine more effective than noise reduction in Lightroom. More is removed as less cost to IQ. Vivesa is...

Got mine but I had to switch from a Yellow to a black and pay an extra $12. No big.LOVE my K-01!

Dont forget that Nikon put a Toshiba sensor in one of their new cameras. Sony makes more money selling sensors then they do cameras (read the Sony financials). Unlike Hoya, Ricoh is a very...

I would think a Sigma alliance might be more productive. I like my Tamron glass but when was the last time they really produced something "new"? They seem to have stagnated. And of course there...

by "right away" does than mean it on the way to your house?:)

First, I believe! I think we will see five new cameras. I am basing this almost purely on pricing moves so here is what I think: K-30 replacement (APS-C, intro model) - this is based on the K-30...

Correct. I read too fast. You get $250 per lens when bought with a K-5IIs.
-
Sorry, read the rebate too fast.Rebates are for $250 each on the three lenses when purchased with a K-5IIs.On the bright side I dont feel sick about my K-5 purchase anymore!
-
Yup. Not good! But I feel WAY better about my K-5 purchase now!!!

I think you can count the Full Frame rumor as confirmed now that Pentax has announced a $500 rebate on the K-5IIs.Oh and the rebate on the 645D probably means it is getting replaced too.
-
Um, I think we just got confirmation of the coming Full Frame.http://pentaximaging.com/special-offers/Pentax is offering a $500 rebate on the K-5IIs. It goes for $1200 on Amazon. That $50 less...

Ill go a step further on tea leaf reading - the K-5II just dropped in price too - $989 at Amazon and $892 at Rakuten (Buy.com).Assumptions from this:1 - The K-5 is nearly gone. The K-5 I bought in...

I would see no issues with that load as far as sensor heating. Shooting video puts far more strain. If you had a second battery I think you would be fine. One of the nice things about the K-01 is...

Of course this is all still rumor but doing just a tiny bit of tea leaf reading:The K-30 has started going on massive discount - $600 with kit lens - at Target. Before he left Pentax USA Ned...

Over at Photo Rumors they are reporting that Pentax is poised to release 5 new cameras within a month priced between $2000 and $400. The $2000 price would seem to indicate a Full Frame.Hoping they...
