This just SCREAMS Pentax K-5iis. It would be stupid if Sigma didn't make it in Pentax mount.
Canon lens with the D800e sensor and PENTAX interface. YUP. That's why I shoot Pentax. My priority is the interface. YMMV.
A Pentax K-5 with Limited Primes does a better job with less hassle and better IQ. The shutter is quieter also. I have shot M3 Leica's extensively, and now am very satisfied with the tiny solid K-5's. Think outside the box... is it about your images or your gear? Don't get me wrong if the Leica turns you on, go for it! But if you want to make images in a leica style digitally, the K-5 is surprisingly satisfying and curiously similar to the M gestalt... seriously.
I don't think this is the same as the original silver LTD. It says the specs are the same as the standard K-5. SO I guess only the color is different this time around.
Can anyone say "defraction..." ????
So what's your lenses usable apertures? F1.4-2.0??
Peter KT Lim: Fuji are using full frame lenses, that mean if the X-Pro1 can sell, they may add a full frame body in future.
Yea, but they priced the x-pro1 like it WAS full frame, and it's not. You can buy a 5DII for this. Fuji is poor value in comparison.
Anyone remember "Promise of Excellence?" The first thing they said was "Just the name Kodak is worth 80 billion dollars." When your corporate culture starts thinking they don't have to actually make anything worth buying to be worth something YOU ARE DOOMED.
American management KILLED Kodak, we have a real shortage of leaders in this world today...
And the sad part is, the clueless leadership still walks away with MILLIONS! That is the new world order way: REWARD THE INCOMPETENT ANYWAY!
There's nothing a Nikon can do that a Canon can't. Except gouge their loyal customers it seems. I've shot both professionally, there's really no difference. Why pay more?
MP Burke: I haven't been able to find out how much this camera weighs. Will it set a new record for a 35mm dslr? Now, how about trying to make a digital slr (for those who want a 35mm sensor but don't want high speed motor drives) that is no bigger and heavier than the film slrs of the 1970's or 1980's?
Yes but landscapes shooters can destroy a 5DII in a matter of months... How about a SOLID SMALL large sensor camera?
If Sony really wanted to sell any cameras they would drop the Minolta hot shoe. Talk about a solution in search of a problem...
Small camera - check
Interchangeable lenses - check
Decent build - check
Image Quality - Point and Shoot - FAIL
Someone is going to get all the pieces together sooner or later.
