Clint Dunn: So they make a great looking P&S and then tack on a cheap looking tiltable screen....ughh. Am I the only one who doesn't want a tilting screen on my camera?? So much unnecessary depth added to the camera.
"Am I the only one who doesn't want a tilting screen on my camera?" No, you're not.

cesaregal: More reliable than a camera phone in my opinion: - glass lens (6 elements in 5 groups) - electronic VR - contrast-detect TTL AF - macro close-up - ISO 80-1600 - exposure compensation +/- 2 EV - 190 shots per charge - 7,3 GB internal memory. Look at samples: http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/coolpix/style/s01/sample.htm
Galaxy S (the 'ancient' first one): Plastic lenses (I guess) Electronic VR CD TTL AF Macro close-up ISO 100-800 Exp. comp. +/- 2EV 1000+ shots per charge 8GB internal memory.
Not that bad I'd say...

Actually, it looks like they're trying to attract people that couldn't afford the OM-D (silver model) with some identifiable similarities. Why not go with the 'look' if it helps sales. :)
I think the X-5 should remind you of the silver K-5 ;)

unotisto: What's with copying Pentax all of a sudden?
Actually, I was talking about the 40/2.8 XS (which is anorexic compared to this, although it does not have an AF motor). Pentax also has a 40/2.8 Limited, which is in another class (build quality and design).
EDIT: and the design is called Tessar and was invented by a guy working for Zeiss (surprise surprise) in 1902.

locke_fc: What I don't get is why all manufacturers insist on releasing 50mm lenses for APS-C bodies. The 50mm has all reason to be for FF, as it approaches the normal angle of view. In APS-C though, it's pointless. The equivalent 75mm is neither here nor there: too short for portrait, too long for walk around and general purpose shooting.
So why this fixed mentality that APS-C needs a fast 50mm? I don't get it. Anyone looking for a portrait lens on cropped sensors would better served by a 60-70mm lens.
Like Nawknai said, they're darn cheap to make. Most designs are tried and true, so you don't need to invest much into optical design. And if you ARE starting from scratch, you only need to design half the lens.

tell the truth: TAPE - ON - THRU - TO - THE - OTHER - SIDE ! Can - NOT make a 3700 dollar camera with out a RECALL !! What else is wrong with it besides the excessive price and low pixel count?
The 5DmkIII shutter sounds like that for a simple reason: It also has a mirror, which the OM-D does not.

I'm interested in the battery life of something like this. You'd need a very capable processor for something like this. The 800mhz ARM comes to mind, but then we'll begin to measure the battery life in hours again, not clicks.

Karl Summers: Sorry I missed it. I was at the LG booth checking out their vacuum.
Oh my sides, Karl!

No, you're not.
How nice. Now there's hardly anything to complain about on DPR, now that nobody can say they don't review anything/review only superzooms.
Jman13: Where do you put your thumb?
I would imagine that this was designed by the phone folks...

Ross the Fidller: Oh No! Not another X camera! ;)

arpikusz: This is the best looking Pentax camera ever! Blue looks awesome!
Now they just need to come out with a DSLR for $499. :)
The K-r is available here for 499€.
arpikusz: Why can't Pentax sell this lens for $150? Both Nikon and Canon has 50mm 1.8 lenses for around $100-$150...
Anton, you're kidding, right?

I don't get it why people are so upset. It's a very KISS approach.

MiLei: I did not see its crop factor.
Sensor is APS but 1.2 or 1.5 or what. I know it now, but it should have in the preview, shouldn't it?
Every aps Nikon has a 1.5 crop factor.
Well done. Searching for "K-5" actually gets you Pentax K-5 and not Canon 5D.
treepop: Where is the review?
You people are so darn impatient.
Faintandfuzzy: It's 3x15mp....no 15x3mp
It's (15x3)mp
zstan: Why no Sony mount? :(
Exactly. But if Sigma started selling the previous version again...
D1N0: They alteady have crappy camera's with android. They're called Galaxy. You can even call with them.
Do you mind listing the model you make claims on?
