Just a few clicks in CS6. Pretty sharp for me.
Just look at ~3 feet from your monitor and at 100%.
At f/8, iso 200 and 1/500 you can't get any better with those lenses.
Your mileage may vary...

As per your question, although I do love my D7000 ( lately my youngest son is loving it too ...) the D4 is years ahead regarding its matrix...
