Nice! I have almost the same picture of the same man in the same spot on a different colored blanket with only one kid! My picture was taken 1,5 years later on 29 April 2013! One thing is for sure. Nothing much changes in Petra! :-)
tasad: It's hard to believe, that this image has " just a little touch of photoshop"...
Thanks for your comments. This is how the picture was made: I already had the photo of the AWACS in take-off. On a no-fly day, I took a picture of my car on the runway and combined the two. The shadow of the aircraft is fake. It is made of a cutout of the aircraft filled with black on a tranparent layer. There was no one inside the car when I took the picture.
RusYus: where does the light on the right side of stones come from?
You are a good observer! The beautiful sky was photographed when we returned to the visitor centre after visiting the stones. Because it was such a fitting backdrop for this historical site, I combined the two photo's in Photoshop. When I photgraphed the stones, the sun was on the right side. You are a good observer! Wildbegonia: Congratulations, your entry deserves a better place. This is a well crafted photograph and one of the few in this challenge which truly meets its theme. Portrait means as many thingas as there are people, many photos here are not portraits.
Thank you very much for your kind comment!
MargalitIL: The texts on the wall are mainly obituaries. I'm not sure this is the subject of their conversation (or maybe it is?)
Thanks for your reaction. I didn't have a clue what was written on the posters. Maybe they were discussing the obituaries...I don't know. That is what makes street photography so noce....it leaves enough to your imagination...
Lutzibus was almost right - the picture shows tension in a chunk of glass, made visible by polarized light.
