John of Brisbane: I don't understand your additional rule. Does this mean you will DQ all photos of people on mobile phones except for 5.If this is not what the rule means can you please clarify what you mean.
Probably best that you DQ them now then, so they have a chance to submit another image.

Skylane: John, the rules were observed, try reading them.
Processing, feel 100% free. I read that But then don't claim that it's a photo of a sunset. It's NOT. At least be honest and tell us what you have done. Pretty badly too, I might add.
Coyote_Cody: I have been there many times, can't figure the angle of this shot?
Thats because its a composite
Should have been the winner. First place is a photoshop composite.
This is a photoshop composite. It is easy to see the sky has been superimposed. Even the light on the water shows full daylight from the completely opposite direction. Checking on Sunset times at Big Sur on Dec 31st 2012 reveals that sunset occurred at 17:02. Check the EXIF data on this phot which reveals that the photo was taken at 15:10 a full 2 hours BEFORE sunset. This photo should have been DQ'd . 14 x 5 votes are also very suspect.
I personally find it hard to believe there was no post processing. this picture was taken at 3pm not quite what I would call sunset.
Maybe you should consider DQ some entries where it would take a magnifying glass to see the lighthouse. They can hardly be considered the main subject
TILAK RAJ VERMA: Dear Host,
I am little confused about challenge criteria, will you accept photographs which sometime can't wait for type of equipment and priority is to capture it only. I have one which I shot from my mobile camera where I did not have time to bring my expensive camera out.
Mate -- read the rules it's quite clear. Why don't you put in a photo taken with your expensive equipment and leave the other for one for mobile camera pics. You can't be that desperate to enter a challenge that you have to ask such a question.
blosshapperter: Dear Voters - please also take additional information supplied by the photographer into account.
I asked in the challenge for post processing description (if any).I also asked for a gear list (plus approximate price). Some photographers also added how they set up (often combined with gear list).
Personally I consider this helpful information when you are in search of improving your own photos. What did others do - to reach which result?
At the same time you might consider nudging your vote up if the overall image quality is way better than expected by the gear used.
I think it would be fair if you were to early DQ those images which have supplied NO additional info. That way they can resubmit according to your rules.
Seems a lot of people are having a problem stating where the school photo was even taken. Some aren't even in a school.
Obviously a popular tourist spot given the number of entries.
Kokeen4231: Sorry for being unspecific. To answer the common questions:1) Friends include anything thats alive. So animals are allowed.2) At least 2 friends means there can be more.
but you were specific .. are you now changing the rules halfway through the challenge? You specifically said two people
Interesting ... but only 1 person in the shot.
Mmmm forgot to read ALL the rules I see, Nice photo though.
Oh Henry .. stop showing off ... you'll have everyone looking at us.
