I didn't find any markings on the camera body.  But like the D300, the model number on the 'sticker' on the box is listed as D7100 (U).

Reading Nikon's admission on this website that the D7100 is 'not' the new flagship DX model, it certainly sounds like the D400 is imminent.  I was reading an old Nikon Rumours page a few minutes...

A friend at work uses the WU-1B to control his D600 from his iPad.  He pointed out to me this week that it will also work with the new D7100.
