ama1: Hopefully the contents will improve too! More objective reviews; less re-posting of the company newsreleases..........
If you check through the forums (e.g. Sony SLR) you will find that some posts containing punctuation such as quotation marks or apostrophes are not rendered correctly i.e. the symbols and what may follow the symbols are registered as gobbledegook. This happens notably if one drafts the post in MS Word then posts it into the DPRev system.
Correction to my earlier post – the AE bracketing is now shown as up to +/-3 EV (I would have sworn that the wider range was not included originally). However, I still cannot locate whether memorisable settings are available.
From my point of view the A77 offers a wide range of welcome improvements over my A700, especially higher ISO, larger sensor and EVF. Hope it has great performance to match. There are some downsides: no CF card, no +/-2 EV exposure bracketing (but possibly less need for it) and loss of settings changes via the QuickNavi interactive menu. However, one thing that I cannot locate is customisable mode/menu settings such as accessed by the three MR settings on the A700. Are they there? It would be devastating if they are not.
