Aroart: I've been doing lots of research on every camera in this price range and this is buy far the best for the $...Oh and don't over look its video capability just because its not 4k... eoshd is praising this as one of the cleanest hd with wonderful color straight from the camera with very little tweaking in post..gh4 looks very digital and a7s s log is a pain to grade.. I considered the 610 and 6d but never pulled the trigger because of the focusing system...feel really bad for people that bought them now this is out...

I have the D600 and have had no issues with it at all. I realize it is a couple of models older but the sensor and features are wonderful especially for the money. I also have a D800 and have had no issues with it either.

suncoast: Is there any L-Plate that could work with this battery grip? For me, the only incentive to use a battery grip is to double the battery life when shooting time-lapse at night automatically, especially in the cold environment. It seems the battery door for the grip is larger than the MB-D12, thus I guess most of the RRS type of L-Plate can not really work well with this one, since it will block the battery door which means you may have to remove the L-Plate before changing the battery.

Any one has experience with it? Thanks.

I purchased a knockoff grip(Meike) for my D-800 and the Kirk L mount. The Kirk is the same as the RRS manufacturer. Assembly is clean and tight and the battery door works flawlessly. So far..no problems.
