snake_b: Wonder how this stacks up against Canon's f2.8 24-70 on full frame cams.
yeah i should mention IQ first. 24-70 with or without IS shouldn't matter that much though. i'd rather have IS on my 135L
don't bother to compare the two.
jmaxx30: I'm somewhat confused. What is the primary difference between the F4 and the F2.8 (besides the obvious aperture)? Is the big reason for making and F4 to reduce the size and price?
finanlly someone mentioned sharpness of f/4...
Photomonkey: When they offer it in Nikon 1 mount then we can have some fun.
we can have fun without Nikon period~
hahahahaha....i can't help stop laughing. 1700 to buy this? i might as well spend 1900 to buy a backup 5DII.
interesting....but still won't buy. i will buy pentax's ff for sure (but they really have to fix their AF system)
Joshua123: Glad to see someone else still using the Nikon D50.
and it still performs well
with Kodak DCS760....should i toss my 1DsII out of the window? brilliant shot!
Yiotis: I'm so scared to challenge this awesome camera with my Nikon D2Hs(4MP)
You are not alone. My 1DsII would lose too. lol....oh Sony~~~
IcyVeins: Take THAT, Canikon!
Canon never goes all out, FYI.
lol this was taken at Henry's Expo. Good job man!
Simon97: I was wondering if anyone was ever going to put a sensor in a manual style SLR body. Sounds interesting if not a niche product.
wow back in 1998. I know someone hijacked a A1P and modified it to a digital cam. You can find it on youtube.
someone should have done that long time ago, seriously. i would love to see Canon F1D or A1D. that would be very sick!
Bernd M: I really can't understand the Sigma "lens-politics" for mirroless cameras. Exemple: Panasonic has an outstanding 20mm F1.7 Pancake. Why I should buy a big, heavy 19mm F 2.8? - 2.8 is what you buy with a zoom lens. Even Sigma itself has a reasoable 18-50mm F2.8 for 4/3. What I'd be interested in, would be fixed lenses that are small and/or have F1.2 - 1.8 as aperture. Something zoom lenses still not offer.
Don't even attempt to understand their logics here. They create one unique lens and whoever finds the need of it will buy~ If they come out with DG EX 70 f1.4 or EX DG 43 f1.8 I am sure some people will buy them...(i am probably one of them)
...........................Casio~ People actualy buy Casio cameras?!
I see it being used for public security purpose.
Did Sigma recover the stolen 180 prototype yet? I heard they brought 2 copies to the show and 1 got stolen. Whoever that lucky guy is please write a review already!
can't wait to get my hands on LR4!
Irakly Shanidze: This is certainly a great achievement... I, however, would appreciate an adaptor that would let me use my Contax 645AF lenses on Leica S2 much, much more. Like, in monetary terms, 150% more.
You might as well swtich to S2 in this case. I think Josephe said it all. Contax 645 is awesome but it is....a piece of great Contax history now.
