Khizer: Was the initial limited production from Canon's Japan factory, and will the mass produced 1Dx's arriving in June be from Thailand? If so, I don't want it.

wrong....Canon doesn't want you. lol...did you get your D800 yet?

trondpe: I think Canon has tested the new Nikon D4 and need to make 1Dx to perform better. Roomers say that they have not been able to either beat or come up to same level as the new Nikon - and that is the reason for the delay.

hahahaha....don't tell me you purposely signed up an account today just to tell everyone Canon delayed productions. lol

In reply to:

Chaitanya S: I think Canon is in deep trouble, remember 1Dx was announced well over 6 months back so I was kind of expecting some really good number of this camera in stock at the launch. But since that hasn't happened, Canon is really screwed up and such delays are going to dent Canon's reputation further more among pro-shooters. (there was a similar delay with their mk II of super telephoto lenses)

i am just laughing over your comment....

Just a Photographer: That's too late for the European Soccer Championships
Which start beginning of June.

An event with more then 1 billion viewers worldwide and a large press coverage.

A missed opportunity for Canon!

Now the question is will Nikon be able to fullfill all those orders of sportshooters who where waiting for the 1D X?

I am sure some will switch brands.

There is a reason why pictures of 5DIII leaked a couple of months before it was lanched...because the Pros got them first. Don't worry they will get the 1Dx before the football championship.

ybizzle: As a guy who has been into photography for many years, I can tell you that these cheap little tricks will never replace the true bokeh effect of a fast lens. At the same time though, it's a nice tool to have for those who can't afford fast lenses and want to simulate that effect in their photos.

@ybizzle - it's really not my business but Jack is not suggesting to rely on PS to simulate the narrow DOF either. the beauty with digial photography is (but not limited to) that we now have softwares help us to materialize our imaginations that the predecessors would have spent hours on and at extremely low cost too. why being so aggressive? photography is meant to be FUN and ENJOYABLE.

smile away and go out and take lots of pictures~~

mmm....i don't think the article is suggesting to buy a cheap lens then use filter blur at all. yeah this is only to bost creativity.

I do agree with you that true bokeh cannot replaced by stupid software.

i really don't understand this nonsense, waste of time camera feud at all. if one can take great pictures, he could do it with any system avilable in the market...
