Tonkotsu Ramen: You should add that they reduced the minimum focusing distance by 15 cm (from 30cm to 15cm) on the wide end, and 5cm (from 40cm to 35cm) on the long end, for the 16-50

good improvement indeed

MPA1: Why is an insolvent company producing new products?

LOL! it's not that easy to go fully bankrupt. trustee takes over, go through working capital, go through restructuring process blah blah blah....they will try to find new buyers so the trustee could make more money out of it blah blah blah....then....investors get some back...SOME :)

yeah...you will see more products like this coming out from Metz and don't ask this question again. LOL

Donnie G: To all of you techies who say that you can already do, with equipment you already own, everything that the Canon CS100 is suppose to do, I say you are absolutely right. I can too. However, the CS100 isn't designed for you and me. It's made for the billions of low tech and no tech folks out there who used to buy billions of disposable and cheap P&S cameras before the camera phone came along. Those non-photographers are still out there, and that's where the potential sales are for this device. Would I buy this device for myself? No! But, my photography and tech challenged friends and family members might buy several. There are billions of them and only a few hundred million of us techies. Is Canon on to something, or on something? Time will tell. :)

P.S. please don't take that I am challenging you. I am just giving my 2 cents. I have read many of your posts/replies and you a definitely one of the knowledge people on DP that I look up to.

I agree but when a non-techy can understand NFC, this and that...they probably can become more familiar with technology and realize HEY! i don't need this since I can transfer/share photos/video via other costless methods. Nevertheless, i don't even think non-techy guys will buy many of these because they are not interested especially with such a price tag.

I'd rather have Canon comes out with their smart tv box which can download photos/video from cameras wireless and automatically uploads to social medias the app must allow users to play around the format of "webpages" so everyone has a unique presentation. if this can be done, i will buy it and a smaller tv as a photo frame at home.

please give a round a applause to HowaboutRAW for his unconditional, year-long entertainment for us. his experience and knowledge are so awful and i think he should be in dpreview's hall of shame member.

it's sad that some people can never look beyond techniques/equipments. the rest is not garbage and they do depict great blend of stories and emotions.
