Very interesting news ... after all the smaller size will be an extra temptation.

Hello mr.CEO
I really want to talk about EOS M.
I think you should make it more easier by making the same mount as EOS S.
The difference in size of EOS M and EOS S is not much I think.
If you can make mirrorless cameras share the same lenses of EOS lines without that adapter that make thing more aukward and not quite make sense, when you choose mirrirless you want sth. Smaller but the adapter doesn't make thing small.

Thank you for listening.

As a fan of pana lx series, I asking panasonic to launch lx8 with on chip phase detection autofocus and larger sensor as fuji 2/3 inch. + 24-90 f1.2-2.0 world fastest lens. And ability to make burst short at least 10 frame/sec with continued autofocus and display doesn't turn blank.

ddtwenty: I am not expect to get camera with long zoom range. Just a shortter zoom range but to be more on tele end for example I like to see a compact body camera like this onlympus one come with super tele end with zoom power of only 8x like 125-1000 f2.8-5.6 with sensor size between 1/1.7inch to 1inch. But seem not any brands likely to introduce in to the market.

@altruisto
My idea is to have a compact camera with super tele zoom lens.
They will be used along with existing highend compact.
For instant when you have highend compact like cannon g15 pana lx7 sony rx100 you will find out that this super telezoom 125-1000 f2-5.6 1/1.7inch sensor will be a perfect duo with those camera that you already have.

@photonious
Thank you for your calculation.
Yes may be I need more bulky body like cannon g1x to house that lenght of the lens (about 30 centimeter).

My only one complaint to panasonic is that...
Please please do the next lx serie with the same 24 mm. Wide and put bigger sensor on them. Imagine if lx7 has larger sensor that can perfome better on high iso ... I think sony rx100 will hardly makes such phenomenon in this year.
And I think it dose not matter if pricing will go up high just like sony's.

lx7 win me all my 300$ out of my pocket.

Not because panasonic gives me money to tell this.

It Because of
- 24 mm. Lens that offer great coverage over landscape shooting that put other cameras fall down here.
- very appealing video control and performance.
- brigthest lens on the market.
- shorter zoom range never bother me as long as the quality of images from that shorter zoom will result in excellent camera optic performance.
Not to mention the very attractive pricing that I do not concern much here.

PS. I plan to buy the lx7 on february. :)

I like the 4.8 inch display and ability to edit photo instantly.
I wish to see these features applied for high level or enthusiast compact camera in the very near future.

But look at the kit lenes , they got IS and the prices are notthing but 30$.

Waiting for canon to refresh its line of EF prime lenes with the new IS technology, but the prices look like they are still not for me... toooo expensive.
