Commented on First Impressions: Using the Nikon D800 article
Not sure about comparison yet but the author of the photos should really tidy up his bed in the morning and not end up with it showing up in the first shots as reflection ;-)))

Replied in Proper demosaicing software can help a lot (e.g. Raw Magick)
Great news - I for one will be (im)patiently waiting ;-)
The reason I asked is because RML demosaicing (not the other parts of the converter) still looks to give a tiny bit more details to my...

Replied in Proper demosaicing software can help a lot (e.g. Raw Magick)
Iliah, are there any plans to perhaps integrate the RML demosaicing into RPP (since it looks like RML Extreme if not happening now)?

Commented on Adobe's Tom Hogarty talks about the extra features in the Lightroom 4 beta news story
You guys should really try RPP and its film profiles to see that both LR and DPP are not as good as you think they are.

Commented on Adobe faces criticism for change of upgrade policy news story
Lightroom does not use activation (yet) as Photoshop does. It simply accepts your serial number and does not require activation/deactivation. I never had a problem installing it on my upgraded PC...

Replied in The role of ISO in exposure and how it applies to photography (part 3)
You may be a lot better off starting the kids with Pascal - its more structural. Starting with BASIC induces bad habits and no thinking when writing a program, which is kind of akin to raw...

Replied in Where to download older versions of RPP
That is rather subjective - I didn't like the sliders and personally glad they are gone.
You have to ask Andrey about earlier version and I don't think you need to post your comments in...

Replied in Where to download older versions of RPP
I don't think Pavel has updated this - but you can post a comment against that article and ask him. Functionally though, the RPP interface has not changed - it was simplified with sliders removed...

Replied in My call to all RPP experts with creating tutorials skills ...
There is a start already - here http://pavel-kosenko.livejournal.com/307924.html
It is in Russian but Google translate does not so bad job on that.

Replied in Iliah ....
I won't argue or agree with what you say but I would like to remind you what RPP creators stated many many times - the software is not created commercially and aimed at no one but its authors. As...

Replied in Diminishing returns
You missed my point entirely. I was not talking about high level of expertise or experience but what really stands behind Iliah's words. It is not technical excellence of the software or ability to...

Replied in Diminishing returns
Thia argument alone taken out of context as you did - true is not strong. But knowing what else Iliah's done by numerous posts here, on LibRaw and in his and a few other LiveJournal's - it is much...

Replied in Away with criticism
Azoele, what's the hardware you are running it on? I have 2 year old PC running on quad core i7 860 chip with 12GB RAM and Mac OS X Lion (hackintosh) - RPP 64 bit takes a few seconds (didn't...

Replied in wasn't it clear from the very start
Reading your further comments here it dawned on me that you are simply a troll. It's a pity that Iliah, Andrey and others had to waste their time on you and a shame you spoiled such a good thread.

Replied in Really crappy interface ...
It does not look like you read into what I said - my view is RPP is better this way and it is far from being a holdover. The interface kind of enforces certain way of doing things - making it all...

Replied in Really crappy interface ...
RPP was actually designed by photographer for photographers. The only people who find it difficult are the new breed of photographers with "digital tweaking" approach. If you ever did darkroom...
