Leica's S2 is a great camera I have used done, however as with most things Leica they are about three years behind everyone else!
37.8MP is not that special nowadays with the Phase One IQ backs...

For a pro or an enthusiast with deep pockets its a great system but its not the cost its the availability that's the issue as you need to be very patent being a Leica...

NPDAV, go to your local camera store and try a D7100 put your SD card in and keep firing you will see that the buffer writing the images to the card slower than the D7000 making the camera slower...

HUH? so what do you know then!?
How can you call someone a liar? How do you know I didn't buy a D7100 and send it back?

I returned my D7100 already!
I ordered it from Amazon but after using it I found that the buffer locks up using continues shooting.
My D7000 performed much better in this area!
In fact with Nikon...
