Ben O Connor: Such an amazing jail that would be ;Pluto ! Even reaching there take a decade ! Load all the b....rds in to a space module, which would take them there and dump once for all !

They got chance to escape, in a kangroos pocket! Able to ride wombat, and fly high by emu!

There is no air to breathe :) and end of the day if Pluto becomes habitable by them... then it would be a perfect Nuke test bed :)) always have the 2nd plan mates. Cheers!

They should also research/invest for tripod mouths as well. A Panasonic 42,5mm or Olympus 75mm attached on it and try to keep it on a pole from very wrong point.... Sure there are pancakes.... But then sure there is Gh4!

Hoepfully this 25mm will be suitable for GM series. And keep price little lower than Olympus M.zuiko 25mm than why not!

I also wished to see MarkII of Leica 25mm lens, which could be rathr smaller, lighter and more handsome than existing one. Wondering about 100-400mm lens! sounds crazy! sadly no new tele lens for GM´s. got to hold on to 35-100mm .

On The big beast: hands on with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 article (1253 comments in total)
In reply to:

DouglasGottlieb: I love the M43 system. It is everything I'd hoped mirrorless would be after my initial misstep with a Sony NEX7. The size, the speed, the lenses, the variety of body styles, and the FUN FACTOR have left my Canon gear on the shelf, untouched for a few years.

This new Panasonic GX8 looks to be the new high watermark for M43. I would buy one today instead of my Olympus EM1 or my EP5. I'm not a pro videographer and much prefer the rangefinder-style good looks and left side EVF over Panasonic's functional but homely (to me) GH4 as well.

The jump in resolution keeps M43 in the running in the new megapixel race, but probably not for long. I'm most eager to see how the new high ISO performs, and how the dynamic range compares to the latest Sony A7Rii. And if the AF tracking can beat the rumored A7000.

I'd buy the GX8 instead of the other M43 cameras today, but probably won't buy it in addition to the ones that still serve me well. It really seems that M43 has hit that maturation point where even "big" improvements will be evolutionary.

So as sacrilegious as this is, and as often as I've railed against sensor size mattering to family and friends, I really do believe it is time for Panasonic (and Olympus) to ADD NEW LINEUPS of FF (or bigger!) cameras to their offerings IN ADDITION TO, NOT INSTEAD OF M43.

The camera I'd buy in addition to my current EM1/EP5/RicohGR set looks just like this GX8, but is FF. It is an interchangeable lens version of the Leica Q, but with a "pro Panasonic" price, not a luxury item price.

This camera would have a high megapixel, BSI sensor, like the A7Rii, a new FF mount that could also use existing M43 lenses with fast AF in a crop mode yielding 12-16 mp images. It would have high burst rate, blazingly fast AF, adapters for legacy glass from any vintage manufacturer, and Panasonic's awesome 4K.

Fantasy? Sony's already getting there? Heresy? So be it. I'm ready for a larger sensor mirrorless. Not necessarily to replace my M43, in addition to it. And if Panasonic and Olympus want big growth again, they'll add a new lineup to take my money. I don't trust Sony. But the pull is increasingly strong...

One of the longest complaint list I´ve ever seem lately.

Ben O Connor: Nowadays camera makers don't want sales anymore! 1200$!!!! Seriously!

I got more reason to not to buy it until 2016 December (I bet it will be half the price with 25mm lens!)

other than that, yeah maybe... it can be true (I bought my last film camera, also the first one back in 2000, and used it last time about 10 years ago) I don´t remeber it good...
Another thing I would complain is; companies throwing smilar specd. different models in very short time! First M4\3 come about 6 years ago, untill now, there are almost 20 models came out from 4 producer (remeber kodak and pocket cinema camera!) hardly there would be just 3 different product period 2009-2011(12mpx), 2011-2015(16mpx), 2015- (20mpx)... things happens a bit too fast.. and too expensive...

I´m tellin´ya! its not "just" the prices, I am a looser who cant afford such stuff, even at this price point !... why ?

Because i am married :) and I love her... But I´m sure, it won´t be enought reason to stop her , to call her lawyer...

On Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV First Impressions Review preview (1551 comments in total)

After all, its a new camera with lots of new specs. I thought its just the RX100 III in 4K panths. New technology sensor, better resolution on EVF yet best pocketability, very promising.

Even I personally favour Olympus and Panasonic colors , still Sony offers a lot.

There are "Saab kinda technologies" around us.
They offer best combo
Price is compatible
It sounds and feel "The One!"

But you ended up something else. In terms of cars; its Saab, in phones Nokia(Microsoft), and in cameras Ricoh/pentax. Very sad to see its happening that way. I am a lover of Saab owner of a Nokia 1520, but even I have a MicroFourThirds system...

Great !

This keeps Polaroid brand alive. "carry everywhere stuff" is today's motto, which undoubtedly born by GoPro's. Not many of us take print anymore but we all share ! Great approach Polaroid, I like that. Hopefully its also works with Windowsphone that I can buy one too!

(sadly, Panasonic wifi does not work with windowsphones!!!!)

On Canon PowerShot G3 X: What you need to know article (599 comments in total)

Nowadays (not for canon only), all the cams have great "on paper" features. But real life says different. Such as
- FZ1000 is a huge cam even other goodies.
- RX10II is so expensive that you should sell your car.
etc... I wonder what will this new guy show a a "bad surprise".

Biggest positive result is; compact camera sensors no more smaller than 1".

Ben O Connor: None of those are match to a Leica full frame autofocus camera! And else than A7RII, they are the same models with 4K !
Sony used to sell some updates for cameras via its app store (time lapse I.e.) , but now for just 4K you have to buy entirely new camera! Fujifilm still leads the game by updates category.

Ok ok you win :)
But I still won't pull trigger any of those. If I will win lottery tonight, I'll go for leica q and maybe then (and only then!) I will have a rx100 IV for my pocket. Just to make you happy pal ;)

I don't say "4K update" , just saying interms of general updates, Fuji rules.

Hardly anything change in RX's ust 4K is the news... Too much money for my economics.

Leica ist das kamera!
