About me:

To create photos that convey texture, nuance, lived-
life, the light, the dark and
shades in between. The real moment passess and
cannot be re-visited again, even
in a parallel existence.

'Do you want to be known as the one who has the
best camera (sensor noise,
DR, lens sharpness etc...) or the one who took that
superb shot?'
'The biggest variation is in the photos you take, not
the cameras you take them
with'
'A sharp lens is only one of the factors to shooting a
keeper in the field - and
often it's not even the dominant one'

  • Hi Lim, I miss your Singapore shots. I watch a guy on Google Plus - he shows photos of Chinese Opera sometimes. And Little India. https://plus.google.com/105437702363751748354/photos

  • Thanks for your kind words. I will have to make it a point to carry this in addition to my other gear - I have less energy and stamina these days. Spring is now and summer round the corner - this ...
  • It's not immaculate James, it is only an illusion that black and white can do. The rubber strips are suffering, the eye cup detached once before I glued it back. The Kodak battery charger has a ...
  • Nice to engage with you again chiue. The bridges look more impressive from that angle. The b&w shot is taken with my HTC One X camera phone and processed through Nik Software's Snapseed on the ...
  • These were SOOC JPEGs - when I used the P880 as my main camera, I was trying for raw all the time and trying to find the magic ingredient to shots like the ones that Bassy and Vaughn did and was ...
  • After many months, took out my P880. And as long since, visited this forum. Thanks to Cyrill Catt and Tom Arto (Jason) for extending a hand of welcome and good friendship - it's a coincidence ...
