Henry M. Hertz: is there anything that seperates it from LR?or is it just a poor mans LR?
i don´t see anything in this announcement that impresses me.
I tried this product mainly because it supports layers. There are many nice features in addition to layers here but unfortunately the user interface is definitely not fully baked. Everything from image redraw issues as you adjust sliders to just general clunkiness. I felt the UI got in my way a lot so it's no go for me. Usability is huge if you edit a lot of pictures. Also, given that you can often get LR at $149 and even at $99 a few times a year if you own PS Elements there really isn't a great price advantage with Corel for me. Good try but not enough for me to switch. LR is a great product, it will take a lot more to displace it.
