So here is the condensed version.
I cannot remember ever...

The 12-50 is a very good lens. Very versatile. As already mentioned you can zoom manually.

Hi Guy, the histogram appears to replicate what the meter is doing accurately. Producing exposures that show a trend towards overexposure to a varied degree. This happens even if the lighting is...

Hi Roderic, thanks for your reply. I'd checked that possibility. Everything was set okay.

Hi, valid point. I would say erratic. The compensation required varies but within a range of minus compensation (up-to minus 1.7 so far).

Hi again Alumna. If we only consider the exposure from my Olympus, it's basically wrong if left to do it's own thing without some help from me. I would not have expected to need to dial in so much...

Hi Anders. I have compared the E-M5 to readings from my Nikon D800, and my Sekonic meter. The E-M5 definitely requires a large minus compensation in comparison to the D800 + Sekonic ...

Hi Willem, thanks for the reply. At least I now know that it's not something peculiar to just my cameras meter. I think it will be interesting to see what I have to do with regard to exposure...

Hi there, the sad thing is that I was really getting into the D800. I was starting to use the auto iso, built in electronic horizon, distortion control, etc. Really starting to trust it. The...

Hi Charles. With regard to the grip - it's brilliant in it's design, and I think it complements the handling of the camera very well indeed. I was convinced that I would need the grip, but I chose...

Thanks Daniel, I cannot lie and say that I always wanted to get into Micro Four Thirds, but I'm lucky enough to be buying into the system now that it's well established.
Onwards and...

Hi everyone, just moved over to an E-M5 for primarily health reasons. I realise that there does not yet appear to be anyone selling radio triggers that will sync to the E-MD's 1/4000th sec shutter...

Hi everyone. In conclusion to my pain issues with using my D800. I visited my local dealer yesterday and I bought a new Olympus E-M5 with the kit lens. (I will add some lenses shortly). The...

Hi Nader, I'll be checking out cameras/lenses tomorrow. The Olympus is my number 1 choice at the moment unless something changes my mind. I know the Fuji is a good camera, and I really like the...

Hi Simon. Thanks for your reply.
E-M5 (sorry, my mistake!)
"Just a word of caution, the HLD-6 grip that Olympus sell is great if you have medium to small hands, not so great if you have medium to...
