On First Light in the Mood lighting challenge (2 comments in total)

This photo deserved a higher position in the challenge. You really got the feeling of the "first light" and the shot must have been difficult.

conham50: a photo taken in 2012 ?

Sorry did not take notice of the rule. Obviously I'll withdraw it.

The Temple of Demeter in the island of Naxos was restored in the mid-90s by collecting about 2500 fragments from all around. The small church of Aghios Ioannis (St John) had to be transposed a few meters to reveal the base of the temple. Today they both share the small hill in the centre of the valley.

Congratulation! The shadow play of such a delicate object makes this shot beautiful. One of my preferences in this contest.

I really liked this photo that I think, best represents the subject of the contest and is so simple as a theme. My first choice.

Philip1652: Great Shot, What stories could that old hull tell?

How many days at sea, how many crew, what dramas did they encounter?

Sad when all the memories fade!

Thanks for the comment! This was installed in a commertial port close to Athens as a symbol of the activity of the region.
