Yeah, I'm sure there are more expensive options out there. What I do like about the Huey is that it adjust for the ambient brightness (useful when I wasn't in the complete dark. lol).

Hello graybalanced,
Well, that's good to hear. I guess I'll just have to experiment to see what works for me. Might as well.
Yes, I notice my adjustments are definitely affected by what...

Hello Richard,
Thank you for the detailed setup. Interesting about the Soft Proofing. I had not used that feature before, even though I had seen that option. :)

Hi,
Thank you, Richard. I definitely notice that too, when viewing prints in certain light conditions.
What background are you using when you edit your pictures, black, white, grey? Also, in...

Hello Sailor Blue,
Thank you for the input.
Haha! "Don't do that!" Alright, I guess I should give it a try.I do have a Pantone Huey, but I have got to find it. I haven't recalibrated my CRT in a...

What a great answer! Thank you for that detailed information.
Now, here's a question I was about to post in a separate thread, but I think this might work here, as you've provided such a good base...

Absolutely amazing. I love the title, too!

Magnificent. The model is pretty, too.

Hello,
Pretty cool, and so smooth with the Glidecam. So many clips and time-lapses you made. This project must have taken quite a while in the field, and in post production.

Hello Steve4922,That's great you got a good one! Thanks for recounting the process you did for the test. I did rack mine to infinity, and even racked it to closest focusing before half-press and...

Hello Full Frame,That's a very apt name for the D800. :D

LOL! I wish I had a great wife.

Yes, I read that the sensor AF is better, so that's the point of having a base to judge and reference by. I think it's a great idea to reference from the better AF.
Nah, I'm not happy. I haven't...

Oh, but what makes me suspect it to be the D800, is because I did test the left-most focus point with Live View, and just focusing without it, afterwards, and the Live View didn't have that...
