Placed 4th in the challenge. Weird little urban oasis, located less than 1/2 mile from Huddersfield's town centre. Once only a handful of villages, nestled on the edge of North Pennines, Huddersfield's urban sprawl was fueled by the Industrial Revolution, (still) producing some of the world's finest cloth. Interesting BBC documentary can be found on:

In theory, but so far the performance between A-mount and NEX versions of Sony/Zeiss lenses hasn't been that dissimilar.

What about the SAL1680Z? I would expect its performance to be on par with the 'newbie'.

Placed 26th in the challenge. Embodiment of Viennese quirk and style, albeit a bit grumpy.

I use the Hadley Pro as an everyday messenger bag and got caught in a long-lasting torrential rain several times. Needless to say I'd happily take the bag out in these conditions again as it is...

Placed 34th in the challenge. ..of a cuddly but smelly bugger!

Embrace the Pentax GXR! Hope they won't employ another big ego designer to cock it up.

Placed 52nd in the challenge. Bumper stickers, flags, toys, private licence plates - most cars are personalised in way or another. One of the most frequent ubiquities are national flags during sport events - my shot was taken on the day of the Olympic Torch Relay in Huddersfield, UK.

These waterproof camera tests are being published quite '5 to 12', don't you think? Since the majority of us are crammed in the same hemisphere, I would suggest to finish these in the next week or...

..will it have a polycarbonate body or will they 'treat' us to a magnesium alloy like they used to in the former two-digit EOS series?

I'm just about to create a NomadMark voodoo doll out of my sheer jealousy..

Placed 21st in the challenge. One of those more annoying ubiquities out there.. Why do some tossers feel the urge to 'enhance' them?

1. 'Expensive' is a relative term. 'Taste' is an individual's preference. 2. There is a market for this camera, albeit a niche one. I would f I could ;-)

Really impressed by the ISO 3200 shots - while there's noticeable NR, the quality should be sufficient for up to (and including) A4 sized prints. Well done, Sony!

They've definitely lost the plot here.. ..that being said, in order to lose something, one must have it in the first place. I rather like the Galaxy camera and the NX system, but when merged you...
