A nice shot with gentle lighting. I must return to Bombay soon, it's a great city.
Some cool photos. I've been to Bombay a few times and it's a wonderful city for photography.
Just as a point of interest, calling Bombay, Bombay is perfectly acceptable, it is the correct name in English. Some political extremists in the 1990s decided they wanted it renamed "Mumbai" and some people there and abroad do use this name. Aside from how ugly the name "Mumbai" is, how it is associated with some deeply unpleasant political groups and how it then requires putting "Also known as Bombay" in brackets so others can understand, the biggest problem is that a huge number of people there still call it Bombay when speaking English.
India is an incredibly diverse country with many different names for every street and city representing the countless languages and cultures of the country. To try to enforce a western notion of coming up with a single name that everyone accepts is an exercise in futility. Long live Bombay!
Interesting read - thanks for the link. In general it's a really bad newspaper, the Guardian, but this was interesting.
