Autoxave: The specs of of this lens is 25-400 mm/2,8-4. In terms of a FF sensor this will translate (equivalence) into 9-148 mm/5.6-10,8?

The lens is 25-400mm f2.8 to f4. No change to the f stop in calculating exposure the depth of field/ field of view is different.

On What is equivalence and why should I care? article (2031 comments in total)

Very good article, which describes the realities of the comparison. Its amusing the number of posts which demonstrate the lack of understanding and denial of the facts, even hilarious.
Very good and well thought out presentation dpreview.

I was getting ready to purchase the EM1 or EM 10 but I will now wait to see how this unfolds, if its not real then Oly may take up the challenge!

Chiemsee: By the way, is it unproblematic to access the SAME raw files in a given directory structure with DIFFERENT raw converters?

E.g. LR4 and Photo Ninja... do the share the same xmp-file?? Are the settings completely independent?

Raw converson software providers offer their own individual recipe for processing the RAW sensor data.
So they are not compatible, this is the whole idea of shooting in RAW format , you have the choice of choosing your chef so that you have the taste you prefer.
The competition is what drives the improvements in the processing of raw files. There is no correct/ best "RECIPE". Enjoy.

All very good raw processing software in their own rights. However there are at least six other programs that can offer matching quality conversions. The competition is great and will ensure we continue to see continued improvements.

On Adobe faces criticism for change of upgrade policy article (398 comments in total)

It would be interesting if there would also be a change to the policy with respect Lightroom? Will LR version 1 and 2 customers be able to upgrade to version 4.

Denis de Gannes: Why no comparison to the conversion of the raw file with the Olympus software Viewer?

Why would one want to compare the results of the camera using a "Beta " profile from Adobe. I expect the results would be updated when the release version is available.

Why no comparison to the conversion of the raw file with the Olympus software Viewer?

Great shot getting there alone and ensuring your E1 worked would have been a challenge. I am sure my e510 would not have been functional.
