"Worlds first!" WTF? Whoever wrote this headline is stunningly ignorant and should not be permitted to post to this site's home page.
As an example, the full frame (36mmx24mm sensor) SBIG STL-11000M astrophotography camera came out in 2009. Isn't this old SBIG still much more an astrophotography camera than this new Nikon by a large margin?
I for one miss the "good old days" of dpreview.
DPReview is actually going to review the top of the line Nikon body? Why not just look at the Nikon press release and post a preview? Here's some templates, one from Oct 18, 2011:http://www.dpreview.com/articles/5149972341/canon-eos-1d-x-overviewand an other from Mar 7, 2012:http://www.dpreview.com/articles/6015410449/first-impressions-using-the-nikon-d4
Why not review the Canon 1D X, so you have a comparison to have with the Nikon D4s? This review was apparently going to happen:http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52185826
Reviewing the Nikon D4s and not the Canon 1D X would be odd, considering: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/about_canon?pageKeyCode=pressreldetail&docId=0901e02480891911
Some of us have been using focal reducers/field flatteners for many years:http://www.celestron.com/astronomy/celestron-reducer-corrector.html
