It needs to be made clean, simple and unambiguous. Malicious can be in the eye of the beholder, when is tactical voting actually malicious voting and malicious voting actually tactical voting ?...
-
LOL, DPR have no need to seek my approval, I'm sure they wouldn't seek to do that. I'm sure they have several people that could draft what is needed, they just need the will to do it.
Hosts...

Look at the links I posted . . . your track record is very poor, I have reported many Cheats to you and have had my Complaints ignored. Why do you allow Cheats to take Challenge places away from...

Yep, I asked for Rules not guidelines . . . rules are mandatory and a User not following them can be censured, guidelines are optional and a user can choose, legitimately, not to follow them.

And he will find out when it's too late that a damaged reputation = less money . . .
-
Of course he can, just like he used to "ban" some users that had more than one ID . . . . even though it was never stated anywhere in the rules or on the signup page that it wasn't allowed . . ....
-
On what grounds ? can you define "deviant voter behaviour" and give me a link to where the rules on voting are written please that prohibit what you are describing.
How much effort and time does...

If you can't be an effective Host don't Host . ....

Lets take one example . . . http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/50862654 Tanver, he was identified as a Cheat a long time ago, more recently DPR made him a Host . . . I personally reported...

It's good that you have finally realised this, it's one more reason why your idea of giving the crooked Hosts the power to decide the winner was such a bad idea. Votes are clicks too . . .
-
You are naive . . . to my knowledge DPR has never closed an account for Cheating, they have closed accounts for having multiple IDs, the ironic thing is that they were doing this without actually...
-
No, the alternative is to let the Host see the votes and in the event of the Host suspecting clear tactical voting ( which is currently not banned so is not cheating ) they would present DPR with...
-
But it isn't automatically checkable . . . . the subject is the Capture date rule and it is not possible to automatically check if that rule is complied with.
Checking width, height, etc is great...
-
OK, so there is no Automatic checking of the date when the image was taken . . . so any real checking is still down to the ability and enthusiasm of the Host. So no real change then.
-
No I don't . . . the topic is the Capture date rule, so how would you go about checking it other than the EXIF in an automated way ?
-
How ? from the EXIF ? really ? EXIF can be faked in MSPaint !

Cheat ! http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/Entry.aspx?ID=460806

Pity the Host didn't check that all Entries comply with the rules . . . checking if "Entries entered in other previously completed DPReview challenges not allowed." is easy for the Host to do,...

Thats the best solution I have read in a long time . . .

I suspect that you missed the large dollop of sarcasm . . . or maybe I imagined it to be there.
