Maybe, in addidtion to already existent 4/3 and micro 4/3, we could deem it a "mixed 4/3" system? Just thought of it after reading your reply...and after contemplating it for a short while...

That person is NOT fat, just a bit closer to the absolute majority of people´s size, wherever they may live. If she´s cute or not I leave up to her husband to have his say upon (if she´s...

2. They HAVE explicitly told us there is a lesser OMD in the pipeline. That was told already when the E-M5 arrived. One model higher up and one lesser (than the E-M5) was said will be launched....

"would of" ???
Suppose you must mean "would have", 2 times in your post. Seen that very strange expression before, but can´t really get where it comes from.
Interesting about McGillicuddy´s...

The US market is way larger than the UK ditto.
That in itself can make quite a difference to what price any importer in both those countries, respectively, would decide for said item.
Only one...

1299 Euros for E-M5 body w 12-50, today?
Ouch, that´s what I paid for that kit in September 2012...now this kit cost the equal of around 950 Euros here in Sweden.
Seems for one time we have a good...

The Zuiko 14-54mm is not 2,8-5,6, it is 2,8-3,5.

The E-M1´s PDAF is NOT useless for m4/3 lenses!
It is used in C-AF mode assisting the CDAF so that focus in that mode is done better than with fex the E-M5.

"What is *persuasively* appealing in the EM1 to current m43 e-m5 owners?"
Well, I´ll list only a few things:
The E-M1 have a somewhat larger grip, and it´s rounded and more "rubberized".
The grip...

Exactly my experience of the E-M5 switch! I don´t hate it, but not far from it ;-)
Surely the E-M1 switch is much much better designed, as was the switch of the analog OM´s of the past!

I take the cam up with my right hand, and to be able to safely turn it on I have to change grip to the left hand and then use my right thumb to shift the switch. I could lift it first w left hand...

I own the OMD E-M5 and the 12-50/3,5-6,3, and also I have the 50/2.0 left from when I had the E-5 (stolen now)
I like the 12-50's macro setting, and the IQ of it too, a lot.
What I gain with the...

Actually, they would not have to even redo those lenses, it would simply be a case of (sort of) manufacturing them with the 4/3>m4/3 adaptor already permanently mounted on the lens. Thus it would...

Yes, I have often used a Polarizer as a "effective ND"-solution.
Works fine but you have of course to accept the change a polarizer brings into the equation in addition to letting less light...

DSLRs are mirror systems, how could they "get hit" as they dropped under 500 dollars?
Possibly the mirrorLESS lost sales after DSLRs got cheaper...(?) could it be what you meant?

Yes, man!
Kirk Tuck is was.
Thanks a lot!
Now I have saved the link to his web site. Hopefully it will stay in my PC this time around ;-)

Hi all!
I used to frequent the web site of an american guy who (at least at the time) used to shoot m4/3, and reviewed a few of those cameras. Later he seemed to move over more to shooting FF EOS....

I believe you on that!
I for my part have found it impossible to do safely (meaning if I don´t want to risk the camera to fall out of my sole hand when trying that maneuvre)
Nevertheless I´m very...

The E-M1 would get my money, IF I had any to put into a camera purchase.
I´ll have to live with the (splendid) E-M5 for quite a while before extending my camera ownership to another one...
