Is that a BLACK 17mm 1.8 on this camera??? Guys, you really should get your color-policy in order. Other brands manage to come up with their lenses in two (in best cases even matching) colors at...

I will be interested in the kind of viewfinder they put in that thing. It's one of those features that are easily overlooked. If smallish mirror box means key-hole view finder, this camera...

Come on Canon, show us a new sensor for once, or have you lost your mojo?
-
The samples are not really what I'd call awe-inspiring. Maybe they should have posted one or two images, that were taken with a good lens.

If it uses the same sensor as in previous models, it won't beat OM-D in terms of image quality. It hasn't got a swivel screen and talking of size, you should not forget the size of the lenses. This...

interesting shots that could do with a little contrast shove?

I use this technique as well (when I have to), but I don't think that it works as good as a monopod does. For some perspectives it's not an alternative anyway.

I like the image as it is. Remember it's a sunset, so I would not bother with the snow being grey. I don't think it would look natural with white snow.

But you can't crop away distortion. And 16MP probably don't offer enough resolution for more than say 50% crop (if you still want reasonable quality). On the other hand of course: No fixed lens...

Yes. 35mm and a little brighter. It's pretty hard to construct very fast wide-angle lenses. 35mm f 2.0 probably wouldn't even be more expensive (but so much cooler).

The viewfinder costs MORE THAN A NEW NIKON P7700 !!! Must be one hell of a viewfinder ;-)

From first hand experience I know how hard it can be to get proper focus on babies and toddlers. These shots show both good sharpness and very nice lighting. Composition and framing look very...

May I ask, what a "beer stein" is, please?

Sorry to disappoint. But the Nokton has no macro-capability to speak of. Minimum focus distance is almost 30" (70 cm if i remember correctly).

looks good. Very good even.I used a voigtlander m-mount lens for my Om-D, but only for a very short time. Even though it was very sharp and great fun to use ( it was a nokton 40mm 1.4) I got...

I thnk they're beyond "small size is everything" now. Both leading companies are about to develop the system to a real pro level. Granted, many users still want small and compact lenses (of...

I read Robin Wong's review of this lens first. After seeing what he did with this lens, I didn't give too much about the lens tip review. they may have got a weak sample or just a bad day. True,...

Very cool. A good example that you do jot need a lot of $$$s to get some very decent results. I'm still looking for a good but reasonably priced wide angle prime. If only there was a another lens...

MAybe not despite the snow but because of the snow. When a camera sees snow, it always darkens the image as it struggles to reach the 18% grey coverage over all. When I use my em-5 in the snow, I...
