Marcin 3M: Hopefully somewhere in space there's an Zippo lighter...
The unlit torch is an analogy to what this site has become. The flame has gone out.
Posting this article is ridiculous and has nothing to do with digital photography. Can't we please give the site back to the original ownership and sent it back to Britain? Make it a good strong site about digital cameras, not a news aggregator with a heavy focus on cell phone?
Bring back dcresource.com too!
I am a fan of Jeff Keller... on the dcresource.com page. Not here. I don't come here to read Jeff's reviews. I like to compare reviews from more than one source and warming over his reviews and posting them here as "collaborated" is pretty lame and shows a lack of effort on dpreview.com's part, as well as a lack of care overall about the quality and relevance of this site. First of all the worthless filler used to compensate for the lack of reviews, now you can't even be bothered to produce reviews. There was once a day when you reviewed every interesting camera, or camera of relevance. Not anymore!
One needs look no further than Kodak to see what happens when brands start a slow decline, and from my sitting spot the dpreview.com brand is damaged from what it was a few years ago and heading downhill. What a site it was! I come here mostly for the forums these days.
I really enjoy Jeff Keller's reviews but would rather see them exclusively on his own DCRP. Warming them over and putting them here too doesn't really do much for anyone and to me it is evidence of further decline of this website. I for one would appreciate two points of view on the camera, rather than Jeff's posted on the two major sites for US readers. Though dpreview.com is still the world leader overall and the place I go for technical info, I think Steve Huff's reviews outclass everyone right now. He gave me a better feel for the camera than anyone else did and I think he "got" the K-01 perfectly when he wrote about it.
More camera reviews, less filler please...
A book review! Whoopie...
Sosua: Sweet sweater, its a pretty solid look and personally preferable to Richards polo and blazer, although that is also a solid look.
-Yawn- less fluff interviews and more camera reviews, please. This site did not become great by interviewing people and reviewing books. It REVIEWED CAMERAS!
