Beautiful, restful photo. Well done.

Classic shots of central Otago, well done.

Extraordinary. I find a major problem with stacking is intrusive ghosting from the out of focus areas of each slice. How do you achieve your remarkable clarity?

Lovely, especially number 3.
Regardless of weather in the rest of the country, you will be lucky to escape rain down there: 400 inches a year not unusual :)

Very good, glad to see you're enjoying your holiday.
Mt Cook's Maori name is very beautiful: Aorangi (or Aoraki in the local dialect) meaning "Cloud-piercer".
Keep up the good work.

If you want NZ photography done by a real master, pop into a bookshop and look for Andris Apse.
He has worked for years with a panoramic camera and his work is stunning. Any sizeable bookshop...

Greetings from NZ, your work is excellent, as always.
Recommendation for the South Island: drive inland from Timaru, which is 160km south of Christchurch, and head for Cromwell in Otago via...

Yes! There was a file labelled D800E_0102.bin.cpgz which I assumed was the right one, but when I double-clicked up came D800E_0102.bin
I put that on my card and the D800E is now happily...

I have downloaded the update and followed Nikon's instructions.

Looks like a good night. As the wine flowed did the numbers become more irrational?

I have the D800E, I have the teleconverter. All I need now is the new lens, and after looking at your shots I think it will be sooner rather than later.

Another APS-C camera without a built-in viewfinder. I am not going to hold a camera at arm's length. No sale.

An excellent series; I particularly liked the Bow Bridge shot.

I am the very happy owner of a Leica X1, the direct competitor to the X100. When I say "happy", I mean optically: a superb lens matched to a well-sorted sensor producing lovely shots.BUT: lovely...

A very fine photograph indeed, especially under the conditions. I commend your vision & skill. At the risk of vandalism, would this perhaps more truly reflect the American condition?

Very imaginative and executed superbly. I suppose she took you hostage but you've already been rescued 3 times?

Thanks for all the comments. The folks at Nauticam say they will have one out, though not soon.

I would like to get the V2 with the 10mm pancake lens (maybe 1-30 too) for photographing kayaking in a lake and surf lifesaving at the beach.I don't plan to go scuba diving, though my sons probably...

I can't comment on the 2x converter but I routinely use my D800E with the 300mm f4 & 1.4 converter; also the VR1 70-200 f2.8. Depending on the subject I use either FX or DX mode.In both lenses the...
