The 45-200 isn't a good lens. I've used it and was always disappointed with the result. The images always appear soft, and there is too much DOF.

This is not true. True the DOF can't be match on a smaller sensor, but 4/3 sensors aren't that much smaller, and the DOF isn't that much more shallow on APS-C sensors. As for the IQ, there has been...
