I used the kit lens NIKON 1 NIKKOR VR 10-30MM F/3.5-5.6. Amazing little toy and the closest focus distance is really very close.

Yep, all shots done with the V1 ;-) The kit lens focus very close and with this technique it's easy to get a shallow DOF.

Your D600 will do a much better job ;-)The D70 image have terrible skin colors, a lot of color noise and the purple fringing in the hair of the old gentleman is a negative eye-catcher.
