Actually I agree.
The affordable FF releases were nowhere near as affordable or cheap as expected (though FF will be where a lot of the action is in coming years)
Mind you the OM-D was £1000 odd at...

The point being here for folks who don't shoot video or that often (ie most of the DSLR users out there) the video button on Sony/Nikon models is just another useless button that can't be...

I'm just looking at the reality of things. Maybe the K-5II is doing less NR than previous Pentax models. Maybe it's not a deal breaker for some folks. I don't really see how a cameras processor is...
-
The RAW NR is destructive and with ACR caused no end of problems for me with other Pentax models. The issue was simply the colour splodges (where Pentax apply NR to raw) are bigger and chroma NR in...
-
Maybe but my A57 has pretty lousy jpegs even at ISO 200 detail loss is noted.
I'd like to see the option to turn NR down even more I don't think that's a big ask myself.

Please stop the "no movie button" nonsense this is a stills camera. I have a movie button on my camera, and guess what I disable it in the menu because you set it by accident. This movie button...

That's not the point workflow is one area, speed another. There are plenty of shooters who prefer Canon over Nikon tonality wise, even if you disagree it exists out there that's for sure.
-
On the K-x I had it at around 1/100 but at times slower speeds and sometimes faster speeds too. But only with the SR "on" if you turn it off the problem seems related to the mirror slap interfering...

That's why I suggest Metz there is no point buying an SB600 s/h with no optical slave mode. On the other hand if you purely want non TTL and off camera optical flashes then Yongnuo are hard to beat...

Quite subjective has to be said, but some people can see even quite subtle tonal differences.
Canon tend to have pinkish skin tones which are more appealing
Nikon are a bit more yellow and I found...

You can't disable the crop though even with video SS off it is still there. A blunder from Sony on that one
The AF is fine but limited to P mode only which is a shame. The SLT's are by no means...

I can see your point, however I think a larger sensor does offset the slower lens.
There are a few other issues, a lack of OVF is another omission which kills any interest in this model. Only Canon...

Owned both the K-x and K-r. They are essentially the same performance wise for high ISO (ie I would have no problems using them for ISO 3200 possibly a bit higher at times)
Very little difference...
-
Actually I don't think it makes any difference. As for Ned I don't take him very seriously anyway, when he was working for Pentax (at a senior level) a number of QC issues were brought to his...

Looks like a gimmick to promote his facebook page.
No this isn't the future of wedding photography...

I never had any issues with Metz using a 58AF-2 flash or the 50AF-1
The first can act as a commander, the second cannot but both are capable units in my experience. No hesitation recommending...

Only if you don't intend on doing much flash work! (Nikon's entry range is quite lacking here)
IMO it is quite pointless buying a 700d, there are some decent deals around on a 600/650d's too. And...

I have to admit the LX range got a lot less interesting over the years. I'd really love to see a much larger sensor in this model range, something like a 1" sensor.
You just can't get that bigger...

Olympus is quite a small player in the compact market, and they are dropping the "V" budget series. (not the entire range)
As for other makers they are going to have to get their head around making...
