If you have to ask then this system is not for you ! A Leica S2 will never outperform a D800 or any DSLR at high ISOs. It simply can't. However in a studio setup where light is under your control...

@mimintroll - Why are you comparing a smaller format like FF to medium frame ? Compare it to other medium format lenses !

This camera is basically there to lower the entry level barrier to the X system.

Almost every system out there has entry level models and higher end models so why not Fuji ?

Yes but lacks the Xtrans sensor so the IQ will not match the IQ your XE-1 offers. :)

With this cheaper body Fuji should get more money from sales as it has lowered the entry point for its X system.

Currently Class 6 (6 Mbps) cards record FHD video pretty well though on consumer codecs like AVCHD or MPEG. So 4k video should easily be recorded by the 95 Mbps cards available today.

I don't like to leave it to the PC and figure out that I didn't leave enough headroom to process the photos.

Also too much processing can give pretty bad artifacts.

Have to agree with you. After sorting through hundreds of OMD photos on the internet I somehow never seem to find any of them really stellar. They are sharp but something seems to be lacking.

Whats wrong with NEX cameras ? Most have a lot of metal in their build and the lenses are also all pretty sturdy. Not sure what sort of statement you are trying to make.

Well you can always try the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 VC for around $1000. :)

A better EVF is a good thing. I wasn't too impressed with the OMD viewfinder.

The price is a bit of a downer though. Would prefer to go with a 6D or a D600 if I was starting a camera system from...
